Feed Payatas, A Fight Against COVID-19

This is to support the works of Puso Ng Ama Foundation, Inc. in one of the poorest community in the Philippines which is Payatas, where my family used to live. The community was known to be the rubbish dump site of the country and now is being hardly hit by the lockdown due to the COVID-19.
I'm Verjen Amay. I'm currently participating a teacher exchange program in Las Vegas, Nevada. I finished college through a scholarship program granted to me by Puso Ng Ama foundation, Inc. that helped me to be where I am right now.
Puso Ng Ama Foundation, Inc. works with the poor since 1999. With the present situation, the foundation needs a huge amount of support to continue their works for the people of Payatas.
Payatas is under lock-down due to enhanced community quarantine. There is no public transport, roads into Payatas are closed or guarded with checkpoints. People are only allowed out of their houses if they have a local government “quarantine-pass”. Only one person per household is allowed such a pass to go out and buy food, medicines and essential items (if they have the money to do that). Most of the people who have jobs cannot go to work and so have no pay. Most have no savings, no sick leave, no health insurance - in short, no safety net. Many people are hungry.
We are in a time of great uncertainty. Nobody knows how long this situation is going to last. People are already hungry and as time goes on, hunger is likely to increase greatly.
I know that in this time of crisis many people are giving and serving sacrificially, even as they themselves are increasingly in great difficulties. Probably you yourself are already giving in various different ways. However, I'm asking you to consider giving if you are able. Any amount whether small or large will be gratefully accepted.
