Hello everyone. Whether you know me or you don’t, thank you for taking the time for visiting this page.
As you may know we are in the middle of a government shutdown. How this personally affects me and my family is that I have been furloughed since Christmas. I am a contracted federal employee and have been for the past 7 years. I am the main bread winner in my home. That means that my family depends on me to carry the brunt of the finances. While most federal employees are able to receive back pay for days during the shutdown, historically contractors do not. I personally have waited to seek support until we reached the end of our means. Unfortunately that time is rapidly approaching.
The president has already said he could go months, or even a year(s) under this shutdown. Until this shutdown ends, each day funds are getting more and more tight and will eventually run out and I will no longer be able to pay rent or utilities and buy food.
Any amount you are willing to donate will be greatly appreciated. Please pray, and help in any way that God lays on your heart; financially or with prayers. Again. Any money received will either go to help me and my family to pay bills of companies not willing to defer payment or to other families in need during this time of struggle.
