Fearless Viking King Ragnar

Ragnar is a 7 month old harlequin Great Dane puppy and my nephew. He adores stuffed animals, loves his new big brother Max (a rescued Dane) and taking walks at sunset.

I am requesting this gofundme because he has had a rapid, heart breaking decline with his health. Last week he was taken to the vet for a loss of appetite and a head tremor observed by his momma. Within 5 days, he became more lethargic, still not eating, and still had a tremor momma swore she wasn't imagining. Ragnar was taken back to the vet, and the tremor was finally observed. He was sedated and x-rayed, but nothing obvious seen. He was given medication to help with his dizziness and nausea (it helped! He ate a can of food!). He was referred to a veterinary internist and neurologist.

By the next morning, he had a head tilt, was collapsing and incontinent. He was rushed in for emergency care and sent to Ohio State University animal clinic. He has seen a neurologist and been admitted to the ICU. He will get IV hydration and blood work overnight, then an MRI and a spinal tap tomorrow. The doctors there feel that he might have vestibular disease that is affecting his balance, but coming from his central nervous system affecting his cerebellum and spinal cord. Now they don't know if it is being caused by a infection or inflammation. If it's not those then we have more things to worry about. Hopefully we will have a definitive answer soon.
