Julie's Medical and Recovery Fund

Julie is a vibrant 44 year old who flew in on July 7th  from Arizona to visit The Region here in Indiana where she was born and raised. Shortly after arriving with her daughter at the airport she was picked up by a friend and went to lunch, only to collapse in cardiac arrest in the restaurant. Fortunately, her friend was knowledgeable in CPR and was able to jump in and immediately begin aid while she waited for the paramedics to arrive.  Undoubtedly she would not have made it through without that miracle.

Julie is a fighter and is one of a small percentage who actually survived this rare affliction in someone so young. She is currently in a hospital in Illinois, active and talking, but her cognitive abilities are lacking due to the trauma she suffered and the medications she is on. She is making great gains, but her future is uncertain as to her complete recovery and the timeliness of it. 

It has been requested by friends that we set up this account so that donations could be accepted while she is still mentally incapacitated and unable to set this up on her own. This is going to be a long road of recovery for her with lots of future medical bills and maintenance of her other responsibilities while she is unable to directly care for herself through her hospital  stay, physical rehabilitation, etc.  All of her friends and family are by her side assisting in any way we can. The neurologists are telling us this recovery process could take up to 18 months or more.
