Stem Cell Transplant

My name is Sarah, and I'm an 18 y/o senior in high school. This past summer, my dad found out he has Myeloma, a cancer of the plasma cells. He had to leave his job because he wasn't able to function normally. Myeloma isn't curable but it is very treatable. He just recently finished his first round of chemo and it didn't help as much as doctors thought it would so the doctors told him that he needs a stem cell transplant. My family is so lucky in that we're fortunate enough to be able to afford health insurance, so what would be tens of thousands of dollars in medical bills from this transplant will only come out to around $8,000. I know my parents are really struggling with money right now. With my mom having basal cell carcinoma (skin cancer)  and my dad having myeloma, along with visits to the ER due to complications from chemo, medical bills are through the roof. As of now my parents can't afford the stem cell transplant because they're running on one teachers salary and that's it. They have done so much for me and have given me such a good life and I feel that it's time I give back a little, so I'm starting this go fund me page to raise money for my dads stem cell transplant.
