Help a Family Rebuild: From Homelessness to Hope

Short Summary:

A devoted mother and her children are facing homelessness and urgently need support. She’s working part-time, living in a shelter, and trying to keep her family together. With no place to call home and storage bills piling up, they are at risk of losing not only their shelter — but everything they own. This fundraiser will help send her and the children to family in Puerto Rico and secure housing so they can begin again. Every donation brings them closer to safety and stability.

Their Story:

After losing their home of 5 years due to a family member reclaiming the property, a mother and her children were left with nowhere to go. Since then, she has been doing everything in her power to hold things together — working part-time, living in a shelter, and staying focused on rebuilding a future for her kids.

Her children are currently staying in a shelter with her, and though circumstance, they remain deeply bonded and hopeful.

On top of it all, she’s now in danger of losing the last of her belongings — including essentials and memories — because she hasn’t been able to keep up with storage payments. Her car, which she lives in, is also at risk. Without support, even the little they have left could soon be gone.

This fundraiser will help:

1. Send her children to Puerto Rico, where they can stay with family and have a safe, stable environment.

2. Secure a small studio apartment so their mother can maintain her job and work toward reuniting the family under one roof.

3. Catch up on critical storage and car payments, so she doesn't lose the few possessions and shelter she has left.
