Mason's Infant Helmet

Hello, this is my son, Mason, and he is in need of your help! Mason is the happiest, most talkative 7-month old little boy and right now, he is in need of a cranial orthosis or infant helmet. Currently, his head is wider than it is long and that can cause developmental issues down the road. I have been struggling for several months, with no luck, to get a helmet for him and to help shape his head.
My husband is a soldier in the US Army and we currently have Tricare as our insurance. One of their main rules is that everything has to be referred by the primary doctor.
So, I followed their rules and took my son to see his PCM and she referred us to a physical therapist who then referred us to an orthopedic doctor. All of this taking valuable time that my son does not have if we want his head to develop correctly. After jumping through all these hoops, Tricare tells us that they will not cover any cost associated with his helmet or the orthopedic doctor visits.
He is 7-months old and you only have the first year of life to form your head properly, so we are running out of time. He has an appointment on April 13, 2017 with the orthopedic doctor to start the process of getting him into a helmet. Knowing that Tricare will not cover the cost associated with this, we have to move forward and get him the help he needs to develop properly. The orthopedic doctor's office has agreed to let us pay the cost in four installments of $500 plus the cost of his monthly visits for adjustments. This is a huge expense we were not expecting to cover and would greatly appreciate any and all help.
