To Get Charles Home Fund

If someone where to ask me today what i would like to be my answer would be a fairy godmother. Why....so i could grant a great big wish for my husband.
My husband at the age of 52 has metastatic kidney cancer and is spread to his lungs and bones.Unfortunately he is unlikely that he will live longer than one year or possibly two yrs from now.Me and Charles met in 1979 we have two wonderful kids and five lovely grandchildren.And tweny kids that call us Mudder and Fadder and 12 more grandkids that call us Nanny and Poppy.We are very honoured to have touch so many lives we love them all as if they were are own.
My Husband and I moved to red deer in 2000, to better our lives. In 2002 I was diagnosed with breast cancer and I thank god everyday that we lived in Alberta ...there health system was extremely fast within two wks I was in and out of hospital with my mastectomy done and home on the road to recovery.
with the incouragement of my family and friends back home in newfoundland. and the nine young adults that lived with us at the time. We took them under our wing in hoping to help get them started for a better live.They Gave me the insensitive to get out of bed and cook / clean for these hard working young men and woman.
My husband and i are the type of people to help anyone out and help them get a start for a better life. One year we were on soicial assistance. Kraft dinner and bolonga was mainly our meals and at christmas time and there came into our lives a woman and her four kids who desperately needed a place to stay. we couldn't offer them much but we took them in and gave them a great Christmas. Thanks to the Nuns who provided a lovely Christmas Dinner.
My husband wouldnt let me go back to work after surgery
he wanted me home always to protect me he said. He was always the one on the road seasonal wrk i stayed home looking after our grandkids and other young people who needed a place to stay to get started for a better live here in alberta. we are not rich just an average joe im not working and my husband is on sick benifits from unemployment. I never ever expected the day woud come when i would have to ask for help from anyone.( but we are rich in our family and friends and the love that surrounds us.. and just being called a second mom and dad and the love everyone shows us is payback enough.)
Now that my husband is sick i would surely like to do something really special for him he is my soul mate my lover friend and my rock. I really dont want to think of what i will do without him.
i know i can go to work but who would look after him. so really all i can give right now is my love and dedication.
He has only seen his parents and siblings once in 14yrs and his parents are really up there in age . his dream is to own a reliable truck and travel across canada home to nl .So my wish as his fairy godmother is to raise enough money to buy a second hand reliable truck to travel the island to see old friends and family. Then back to our home in Red Deer where will stay forever. Ive never ever had to ask for help in my life so this is very hard on me i just want to give my husband a couple months of happiness and memories that will last us our lifetime before the one above us decides to take him away....
I know there are many people out there that are sick and sicker i pray for you all. Stay focus and follow your dreams.
to the people who arent sick live your life to the fulliest and dont stop following your dreams. take each day and enjoy your love ones and the friends around you.Never hold a gruge life is to short. There are rich people and poor but at the end of the day we are no different.
By doing this for my Husband ( thanks to a dear friend / daughter)we are hoping to open everyone eyes and make them realize when we work together we can make dreams come true for people no matter what age.
