Chris Morgan & Crystal Flora’s Story
In December 2015 Chris went to the doctor because of back pain and after x-rays & scans Chris was told at 35 years old he had small cell lung cancer.
Like all young couples, Chris & Crystal worked & struggled to have a secure & happy future but in their 17 years together this would be their biggest life changing struggle
Chris began his fight with chemotherapy & radiation treatments the day after he was diagnosed and continued treatments throughout 2016. He responded well to his treatments and when he had his scans the tumors were no longer visible. Chris was in remission.
Chris & Crystal decided to celebrate with a vacation to Jamaica. While they were away Chris was tired & achy so upon returning home he went to his doctor. After a series of test & scans he was told that the cancer had metastasized to his bones and was back in his lungs. With this devastating news he started treatments again.
During this time Chris has been unable to work and he exhausted his disability benefits which has left Crystal to take care of all of their living & medical expenses. As you can imagine when dealing with an illness you can never seem to get out from under all the expenses that continue to pile up.
