FC Seattle Sierra Leone

FCSSL is a football club in Sierra Leone, West Africa, that exists for the purpose of bringing the Gospel of Jesus the Messiah to the young people of SIerra Leone using the game of football. There are over 250 children involved and, since the spread of Ebola into Sierra Leone, FCSSL has also been involved in bringing relief to those affected by the disease, primarily "double" orphans, meaning kids who lost both parents to the disease.

FCSSL Background Information required by GoFundMe: My name is Eric Baker from Lynnwood, Washington. We are missionaries who support a friend, Bambay Sawaneh, who is a native of Sierra Leone, West Africa. He is a double-amputee from the SL Civil War who established a NGO/football club for the young people of Sierra Leone 7 years ago. There are 250 children ages 3-20 involved with the club that has teams in Freetown and Makeni. Besides playing football, the club is active in Ebola relief, education and agriculture, all for the benefit of the children of Sierra Leone. The funds for this campaign are specifically for Ebola orphan relief (food, water and school supplies), and the funds are sent to Sierra Leone via Western Union and bank wire transfers.
