11/9 update
A lot has happened over the past few months. Mike has been diagnosed with more medical issues like central sleep apnea, possible heart failure, and he has started having more migraines.
We are still waiting on a disability hearing. His neuro did declare him unable to work and the paperwork was taken to the lawyer who said they would try to get the hearing expedited. But there’s still no telling how long that could take. We are in a great time of need. We are faced with having to move right here at the holidays and we need help. We are praying for a miracle.
Update 7/6
We met with a lawyer yesterday to begin the disability appeal process. We are waiting on a date for a hearing which could take 12-18 months. We are asking for prayers, donations. any help at all if possible to help us keep things going until we can get approved. It’s a tough season but I know God is seeing us through.

We are in the middle of handling everything. Disability was denied so we are beginning the lawyer process and so far we haven’t heard anything from the MS society about being able to help any. Mike is having a rough time. Mentally and physically. He’s worried about being sick and then worried about how things will get paid. I want to take some of the burden off of him so that’s why I started the fundme page. We are still hopeful that things will change soon. We know it’s in God’s time. There are needs that have to be met and we are asking for any help possible. When you have 2 children you’ll go to the ends of the world for them to make sure they have what they need. I also homeschool so money will also be put toward help with their books and supplies. We know that times are tough for a lot of people so if you can’t donate just knowing that you are praying means a lot.

Caseworker from MS society came out today and they are helping us find resources to help with bills, medicines, medical supplies etc. it is still a work in progress because we have to apply for the grants and we are not quite sure how long that might take but at least we have help getting on the right path. Your help is still appreciated for any amount to help us until things hopefully start coming through.

We have been in contact with the National MS society and they are assigning a us a caseworker and we are praying they will be able to help us financially. Until that comes through we need your help no matter how little. Our light bill will be due in 8 days along with our rent and phone bill. Please help if you can.
Mike was in law enforcement for 10 years with 2 different departments before his diagnosis of MS. He put everything he had into serving his community and helping people. His favorite being the chance he got at being an SRO officer. He misses the things he can no longer especially working.
On November 9th he woke up with what he said was the worst headache he had ever had. Thankfully he had a doctors appointment that day and he told what had happened. She didn’t think he had a stroke but sent him for a ct scan anyways and we are so thankful she did. That afternoon we received a phone call that said they had found a mass on Mikes brain and he needed an MRI the next day. By Monday we got the call saying he had Multiple Sclerosis. He had been having symptoms since March that had kept him from working but we had no idea it was anything like this. He has received 2 treatments and is still having a rough time with balance and weakness in his legs and now problems with dizziness and migraines which has prevented him from working at all so right now we have no income and we need help with paying the bills and getting things for our 2 girls that they need. We are still waiting for disability and are praying it comes through soon. We are asking for anyone to help anyway they can no matter how little. Every little bit counts and would be a blessing.
