Open Figure Drawing iPad for Drawing Fund
We are raising funds to purchase an iPad Pro and Apple Pencil to for use by artists during our drawing sessions.
Who Are We?
Open Figure Drawing is a non-profit, community-based drawing group that gives people of all abilities an opportunity to draw from the live figure. We are based in Syracuse, NY and have been serving the Central New York art community since 1989.
Our Mission
It is our mission to provide the following:
Offer an inexpensive drawing experience to the general community.
Give artists and students access to a live model.
Provide drawing opportunities without commitment, on a drop-in basis.
Offer a very reliable schedule long term without breaks.
Create an environment of artist community support and networking about shows, openings, workshops, grants, and other pertinent events.
Organize group shows from among participants.
Support and train talented artist models.
With our mission in mind, we applied for and received a grant from the Community Foundation to offer artists the opportunity to explore digital media.
Help Us Raise Funds
We received funding to acquire a Wacom MobileStudio Pro 16 and an iPad Pro with an Apple Pencil, with the condition that we raise funds to purchase a second iPad Pro. These will be available for artists to use during Open Figure Drawing sessions at no additional cost.
We are very excited to give artists this opportunity and hope you will help us raise the $1000 we need to purchase the second iPad Pro and Apple Pencil.
