Terry's PKD Surgery and Recovery

Donation protected
Terry was sent to the ICU in Lubbock a couple of weeks ago with sever pain and elevated levels on his blood work. It was discovered then that he was in Stage 5 a Kidney failure with less then 15% kidney function and very elevated Potasium levels. During another visit to the ER a CT Scan was done and they found his kidneys were so large he had no room for regular everyday functions. Eating and breathing had become difficult and he had lost 30 pounds over the last few months. A follow up doctor visit had him seeing several specialist who together decided his best option was complete removal of both kidneys and draining the cyst in his liver. The surgery is scheduled for October 3rd. This with make dialysis his new way of life.  He will  have 3 days a week around 4 hours each time of dialysis until a kidney donor is found. The family is hopeful this will happen with in a year to two years. Until that time he will be unable to work. The family needs help with travel expenses and living expenses. Connie will continue her baking and the kids have also looked into getting after school jobs. Their other daughter, who is living at home with them, Jesseca is working full time and is also helping as much as she can!  The family is grateful for the out pouring of prayers and love.
