Fausto Arcentales Jr. #15

Fausto Arcentales Jr., a beloved husband, father and coach, died unexpectedly on September 8th, 2018 at the age of 47 while playing soccer with friends, one of his true passions.

Fausto was a family man, with his wife, Evelyn and his children, Giovanni, Gabriel and Mia at the center of his world.  He pushed them like he pushed his players to always strive for better. Family was an important part of his life, being one of four children himself.  He always approached problems with a stress free attitude. He was easy-going and understood that you can't sweat the small things in life.

However, there was always a passion when it came to competition.  His drive to be better was contagious. This is why he made such a good coach.  He had this innate ability to elevate your game no matter what you were playing.  Even when his own children were done playing soccer, he continued to volunteer his time to coaching because these kids meant so much to him and he meant a lot to them.

This was evident by the extremely overwhelming display of support on the night of his passing.  At 10 pm, past and present players, players families and school friends, joined his own family and friends in the center circle of the Lyndhurst soccer field.  All were welcome to share memories and so many did. They spoke of their coach, who to many of them, was more than that. He was a father-figure and a friend. They shared how he supported them, how he pushed them because he knew they could be better, even if the players didn't see it themselves.  Fausto was simply the man that did anything for anyone and never asked for anything by hard work in return.

Unfortunately, his physical heart gave out, but his spiritual heart continues to beat on, not only through his loved ones, but through each and every young life that he touched.  It is clear that Fausto has lived an influential life although cut too short. With this loss, there is a void that may never be filled. His children will grow up without their father and his wife without her best friend.  Fausto gave himself at any chance to help his community, not because he had to, but because he wanted to. We are looking for your support of a family whose was robbed of their father. Please donate, no matter how small or generous, in honor of Fausto Arcentales, who gave so much to so many.
