My name is Frank Benedetto and I am a close friend of the Ryder family. I live in Delray Beach, Fl. These funds will be used for general living expenses, memorial service costs and other event related expenses. On Friday, August 31st Tara and her 2 children, Mason(8) and Kolton(7) were devastated by the news that their husband and father, Jonathan(Jon) had taken his own life. No one realized that behind this giant of a man was a torrent of pain. He was a quiet man who kept to himself and always provided for his family. Just the evening before they decided to set a date to renew their vows for their 10th wedding anniversary. As you can imagine the news of his passing at his own hands was unexpected and utterly devastating. The boys are the ones who will take this the hardest as they ask friends of the family "why did my dad want to leave us" and "why didn't he love us enough to live?"
Tara is now left with the huge task of caring for the boys and getting them through this difficult time and everything that will follow as a result of this. Sadly Jon didn't have life insurance, a savings account, a pension, or anything that could have been used to support the family. He basically left them nothing to survive with.
There are 2 young children and a 10-year, stay at home mother, that are now without a husband, a father and penniless. They have to find a new place to live, a new vehicle, as the current truck was where Jon chose to commit his final act, as well as numerous other mounting costs just to get by. Please find it in your hearts to help Tara and the boys to regain their lives and move forward from this tragic event.
