Father in laws dream come true

Hi,
My father in law, R’ Shaul Katz from monsey, has been struggling with Parkinsons disease for the past 12 years.
We used to take him for a month or so to Tuscon Arizona and the past few years to Palm Springs California. Being away for a month kept him going for the next 6 months!
Over the last 5 years, his condition has worsened significantly. He is home bound 24/7. Going to shul on weekdays only occasionally with a wheel chair. Summer he doesn’t venture out because of the humidity and the fear of mosquitoes. Winter is out of the question- for fear of contracting a cold, bronchitis, or pneumonia.
The last 2 yrs we haven’t taken him anywhere do to us children b”h making chasunas and bar mitzvah’s.
All was fine until my husband got a call from his father, asking him to please take him to Tuscon. We were shocked! This is the 1st time ever that he asked to go somewhere. The fact that he made the call means he is in real need to get out a bit.
We will not let him down. We will iy”h take him, but we need help. We have asked the family-children and married grandchildren to contribute to the expenses, but it’s not adding up. We need more help.
We hope that you will open your heart to help us out.
With much appreciation,
Faigy Katz (Better Letter)
(Daughter in law of R’ Shaul Katz)
