FatherFatherFeline is a 3rd year production for the University of Salford, brought to you by a talented group of filmmakers ready to share their vision with the world.

SYNOPSIS

The film follows Father Hobbs who, after a troubling encounter at church, is called to a children’s birthday party, only to find the children gone, and their hired entertainer possessed by a demon inhabiting his cat puppet. Hobbs must race against time to not only save the entertainer and the banished children but also himself from the grief that has been eating away at him for years.

FatherFatherFeline is a passion project that’s been quietly developing for the past two years. It’s a love letter to slow burn horror of the 70s, creature features of the 80s, with just a sprinkling of obsessive admiration towards The Exorcist. The final draft of the script just got finished up, and we’re already blazing through our pre-production documents and casting. But we cannot do this alone. That’s where you - the audience - comes in!

OUR AIMS FOR THE FUNDRAISER

As this is a student production, we rely on crowdfunding to reach the budget of the film. We have a goal of £800 to reach - this will help us to cover actors’ travel funds and the expenses of booking out locations, buying props, costumes and meals for our hardworking crew. Donate as little or as much as you like - any amount counts and as a thank you, you will be credited in the film!

This film has been a passion project of mine for quite some time - as a screenwriter and a rising director, I revel in writing character-driven scripts with heart, humour and quite a few scares. Horror is often seen as a genre that is incapable of telling deeper stories by the general public. We aim to disprove that by tackling loss and grief in a frightening yet accessible manner. We also want to make a film that takes a more unconventional approach to the tried-and-true subgenre of possession horror.

Thank you for reading this far, and thank you for donating and/or spreading the word! Your support means the world to us!
