Fat Girl Rock Bottom - Keep The PT
Okay so I’m not normally the type to ask for “help” but I figured I’d give this a shot. You can get a more in depth description of what I’m going through and why I’m even putting this out there on www.fatgirlrockbottom.com , however basically since December 2020 I’ve had a lot of issues with my back that turned out to be multiple herniated discs. After a long (painful) journey I’ve been going to Aqua Physical Therapy for a couple of months now and the progress has been amazing. I went from felling completely worthless because some days even changing my daughters diaper was painful and I’d have to have my mom help to being able to not only handle her basic needs but even actually start getting out and about and working on getting my back stronger . My insurance will only pay for 24 sessions of physical therapy (which is dumb because if I only had 1 herniations they would pay for the same number of sessions ugh) which will take the use of the pool (and all the equipment they have) away.
The cool part is my PT office offers personal use of the pool and said equipment for $10 a session (or hour). AND the therapists are all there so even though I’m not there for “PT” they still offer advice on exercises and keep an eye out to offer advice to make them more effective.
I know the pool is a “luxury” however it has been so important in my healing that Id really like to be able to keep going twice a week. So I figured I’d put it out there for everyone who keeps asking if I need anything or if they can help at all so here it is…
I know the amount seems a lot however I calculated how much I’d have to pay for the rest of this year and all next year plus a little extra for gas to get there and back (I’ve moved farther away and the gas prices are brutal now a days!) and I figure if even $10 is raised it’ll be an extra session in the pool. And even though I don’t “NEED” it … it would be a life changer now that I’ve gotten to the part I can take on my own healing and strengthening. And to be honest I really need to get myself stronger to be able to get back to work and so I don’t waste all these precious days and years of Zabrina’s life…. I want to physically be able to keep up with her and give her the best life I possibly can, she deserves me to make the changes for the heathy side.
So in advance thank you, to every single person who has and will continue to support me through my journey, every message and comment I’ve received has been so motivational to me so far!
