The Fastest Cycle Across Europe
I need your help to break a World Record to raise awareness for mental health.
In September 2018, I intend to smash the Guinness World Record for the Fastest Cycle Across Europe - cycling from the western tip of Portugal to Europe’s most easterly point in Russia, in less than 20 days.
This epic challenge is built on the back of an extraordinary feat; cycling the globe - a journey of seven years, across 51 countries and over 44,000 miles, on a budget of only five pounds a day.
These adventures all have their roots in depression. As a young man, having met society’s expectations of a normal life, I found myself struggling in a world that felt lonely and unfulfilling. So I set off to help find a cure.
In cycling the planet I raised thousands of pounds for charity but that mustn’t be the end of the journey. With mental health in life, and sport in particular, such a high-profile global issue, I have so much to offer to help: to keep awareness high and show people suffering with mental health issues there is a way forward.
I will break this World Record by a significant amount to show that depression can happen to anyone but that they are never alone and that it doesn't have to stop you achieving amazing things.
To realise this amazing project I need £16,000 to equip myself and get the team across the continent.
