Father and Son swim the channel from home

Hi everyone we are fundraising for swimming lessons for children once the restrictions have been lifted, we would like to help families who like ourselves have be hit financially during the pandemic. We currently had an article printed in the press highlighting the financial pressure we were under.The news story broke,this brought a local man of 76 to our door to ask if he could help? We thought this was very kind and showed him around.He had been a volunteer for years with sports groups he suggested we use the pool to raise funds ,then the penny dropped ,why don’t my son and I swim the equivalent length of the channel 34 km to help raise funds to help our local community, Many of the children we teach have Autism and special educational needs who have particularly been affected by the pandemic .We would so grateful if you could help us help them. It’s great to see the happiness swimming brings to children and we want to provide this life saving skill to everyone. Thank you
