Farmland to Woodland- Stoodley Project

Donation protected
My brother and I are going to turn part of our Mum’s farm to woodland.  We wish to maximise its environmental impact at this point of climate emergency and encourage biodiversity. There are bats, deer, foxes, badgers, moles, hedgehogs, owls, woodpeckers and a whole range of animals living nearby which we would like to encourage by increasing their habitat.

We have been very lucky in that we have been accepted onto the Woodland Trusts Morewoods scheme. They will be partially funding the cost of 525 saplings so that we can turn a Hectare which is currently a field with a few trees into future woodland. These will all be native trees such as Walnut, Sweet chestnut, Hornbeam, Oak and Elder.  In order to make this happen, we have to pay a percentage of the total cost which will be around £400-£600. We are struggling to meet the cost of this ourselves and any help would be very gratefully received. If you are unable to make a donation towards this, it would be wonderful if you could share this gofundme.

We will also need help when it comes to planting in December. Please let us know if you might consider helping. We will provide something for lunch!
Many Thanks
