Unite to Save Oregon's Family Farms

Please join us in solving the Industrial Hemp Legislation crisis!

The Oregon Industrial Hemp Community is finally on the other side of an intense 2019 harvest season which brought many lessons for the future development of the industry.  Challenges were faced issuing from inclement weather which brought mold, bottlenecks in processing & labor shortages, and the dropping of the USDA IFR regulations at the end of October, which resulted in panic.

Even though we were successful on Nov. 23 in uniting the community to learn about and respond to the USDA's regs, we realize that our work in building a solid, educated hemp community and stakeholder coalitions has only just begun.  We cannot falter in our efforts to organize, educate and motivate the Industrial Hemp Community.

Right now is the time to unite for regeneration and work together to ensure a better 2020 season. We recognize our role in the greater community as good actors and aggregators of support for farmers, entrepreneurs and investors in this field.  That is why we have chosen to direct our efforts and resources towards acknowledging this turning point and help catalyze a movement for Solidarity and positive changes.

We are spearheading this fundraiser in collaboration with the Southern Oregon Hemp Co-Op to help aggregate funds to help our industry remain on its feet.  We would like to raise money to be able to support the efforts of our industry advocates like Courtney Moran of the Oregon Industrial Hemp Farmers' Association, who works tirelessly on behalf of our industry in Salem and Washington.

The results of this fundraiser will be announced at our January 26 Symposium, which will focus on regrouping and renewing our approach to this industry, proper planning and alignment of resources for the 2020 season.   Courtney will also update the public on the progress of the fight against prohibitive legislation and rally our energy to unify in the face of adverse legislation.

We move forward in full faith that the Oregon Hemp Community can and will band together for the collective good and usher in an era of cooperation and solidarity for the future of Industrial Hemp in our State and Nation.
