<div>On September 24, 2025, our beloved John Lynn Jr. passed away at the age of 80. John was not only a husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather — he was also a mentor, teacher, coach, and friend to countless people in the Northglenn and Colorado communities.

<div>John lived a remarkable life. He was crowned Mr. Colorado in 1968 and again in 1988, a testament to his lifelong dedication to health, strength, and discipline. He was a world champion bodybuilder who continued to run and lift weights right up until his last days. But beyond his athletic achievements, John’s greatest legacy was the impact he had on the people around him.

<div>For decades, John taught science and coached wrestling, track, and volleyball at Northglenn High School. Generations of students remember him not only as a teacher but as someone who inspired them to push harder, believe in themselves, and never give up.

<div>He shared over 50 years of marriage with his beloved wife Jeanie Lynn, who passed away in May 2017, raised three children (Jaquelle Wood, John Lynn Jr., and Mark Lynn), and cherished his four grandchildren (Levi Dorval, Johnny Lynn, Lacey Dorval, and Opal Wood) and three great-grandchildren (Teaghan Dorval, Dallas Dorval, and Amethyst Lynn). To his family, he was a rock, a source of encouragement, and an example of what it means to live fully.

<div>We are creating this GoFundMe to help cover the funeral reception expenses. <strong>John gave so much to his community, and it is our wish to celebrate his life with the dignity and honor he deserves.</strong> Unfortunately, our family does not have the means to provide this on our own, and we are asking for help to give him the farewell worthy of the man he was.
