Farewell To Annette Kironde

Annette Nakalema Kiyimba (Kironde) was only 56 years old when she lost her second battle to breast cancer on Sunday, February 2nd 2019 at 3.00am at Newton Wellesley Hospital in Massachusetts. After her first breast cancer diagnosis in 2013, she lived life to the fullest and enjoyed remission for 5 years. Sadly, she received her second diagnosis in May 2018 that the cancer was back at stage IV and very aggressive(had spread to her liver and bones). We would like to thank all of you that were there for her during her illness.
Mom was very brave, positive and fought until the end. She enjoyed spending time with her family, despite her battle with cancer over the past 9 months. She never let her pain hold her back from living her final days to her fullest.(Even travelled to Uganda this past December against the doctor's wishes for one last hurrah)She was a mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and a friend. She is survived by her four sons Apollo Kironde, Senteza Kironde, Mpagi Kironde and Jo Zizinga and her five grandchildren, Jayden, GraceAnn, Ace, Victoria and Sentie Jr. Even though mom is not here with us today, she left us with a strong legacy of her beauty, joy, love, kindness and generosity which will forever remain with us.
Her body will be flown out on Sunday, February 10th, 2019 and then on to her final resting place of Kimaanya, Masaka in Uganda. We need approximately $26,000 to return her body and also cover her funeral expenses both here and in Uganda. We really appreciate your contribution and hope that you can join us as we bid our mother farewell. Thank you.
