Famoro Covid19 Emergency Expenses

Donation protected

Famoro Dioubate is an amazing musician, but making your living off of playing the balafon (traditional West African xylophone) is hard in the best of times. During the Covid-19 pandemic in NYC, it's impossible.

At least, it's impossible unless we contribute financially.

This is a simple request: We need money to help Famoro pay his rent. A few people have been stepping up to help pay his bills, but we can't do it alone. Famoro is a djeli a.k.a. griot a.k.a. living history book of the Mande culture from Guinea living in New York who is one of the greatest masters of his instrument.

Do you want to continue to hear this amazing music? Do you want to live in a world where we can still support the uplifting melodies and rhythms of Guinea? Then please donate financially.
