Family struggles amidst illness

My sister's family is experiencing great medical and financial hardships. We live in Bend, Oregon. My brother-in-law is on a waiting list for a kidney transplant and therefore needs hemodialysis three times a week. Due to the consequences of end-stage kidney failure, he has been unable to return to work as a dialysis technician for the past 18 months. My sister just underwent surgery for a recently diagnosed brain tumor and is in the early stages of recovery. She is not expected to be able to return to her job as a medical social worker for the next several months. In addition to their own personal struggles, their beautiful and bright 6 year old daughter is receiving on-going medical care in Portland for bladder and kidney dysfunction. With medical bills pouring in and the roof of their home in disrepair, this family is in desperate financial need. Both mom and dad have given so much to the Bend community through their work, we ask for your generosity to provide what you can to make this holiday season a little brighter for this kind and wonderful family.
