<div>The City of Ocean Springs is heartbroken over the events that have taken place over the past year. The Case, Green, Hembree, and Noblitt children have been publicly attacked over the spread of misinformation regarding last year’s tragedy. These girls have not only struggled to cope with the loss of their friend, but have been publicly accused of being at fault for her death. This is an unimaginable burden to place on 13-yr old girls, especially with no proof of wrongdoing. The social media storm and the spread of misinformation continues to date. This has deprived them of living in peace, caused financial hardships, and tarnished their reputations.

<div>These families are devastated as they try to navigate this incredibly tough time. The time has come to support our neighbors and let them defend their children in the court of law. Justice does not take place on social media platforms, and everyone is innocent until proven otherwise. We need to fight for every family to ensure nothing of this nature ever happens again.
