On April 16th at approximately 12:00pm, Sandra Darling Janik Bell passed away in the Montrose Memorial Hospital, in Montrose, CO, at the age of 73. She is remembered by her son, Amadeus, and her grandson, London. She was diagnosed with lung cancer, then 3 other forms were found after further diagnostics.
My grandma was always the organizer, the one who made sure we were okay, because her, I, and my dad were the only family that we immediately had, and it’s been that way for almost the entirety of my life. She was the most incredible person and woman that I, and most people, have ever encountered. She had the hardest work ethics, always putting my father and I before anything, welcoming to anyone who came into her home, an amazing cook, an amazing artist and painter, a sense of humor, a woman of God, and the best grandmother, and mother, that one could ask for.
My father lives in Montrose (with her) and cannot leave due to being in ATC for almost another two years, and I live in Colorado Springs without any form of transportation. We have each other, and that’s it, and we’re both now broken from the most important thing in our lives being gone. We are left with a lot of responsibility that we cannot tend to easily, as well as medical bills. Anything that anyone is willing to give and help this transition be as smooth as possible, is greatly appreciated.
