Family of Jim Cacabelos

We have lost a shining force in the universe with the sudden loss of our Jim Cacabelos, but he will no doubt shine on into eternity.  

Anyone who knew Jim, loved him and his infectious smile and forever energetic personality.  He was passionate about his family.  We at Staypineapple were lucky to get to hear the stories he shared and witness the absolute love, commitment and pride he had for his wife and three children. Jim also had a passion for the University of Washington and was one of the biggest Husky fans out there.

Jim will live on as an icon in the Seattle area hospitality community. He was recently recognized as such in an article published in Northwest Meeting news. Jim was described as a champion for his work in mentoring CMPs - Certified Meeting Professionals.   From his early days at the Seattle Convention and Visitors Bureau, now Visit Seattle, to his involvement in WSAE, MPI and SGMP, Jim was a dedicated hospitality professional.
