<div>This courageous single mother has survived domestic violence and has spent the past three years rebuilding her life while waiting for government housing — all the while carrying the heavy burden of private rent on her own.

<div>Now, her 8-year-old child is fighting a rare and aggressive bone tumor that has eaten away at the bone, resulting in a broken hip and femur. Emergency surgeries have already been done, with many more still to come.
