Please share our story and help if you can. ❤️

I hate to have to ask for help again but we will lose power next week , We have a little less than $50 after putting gas in the car and with summer coming will soon need to take Elijah to a location we’re not certain of yet for physical and other therapies, several times a week for his motor issues. George and I are looking into freelance ideas that we can somehow handle, since every disability safety net keeps failing us. Something not time specific that can be done during low pain times and caring for everyone else. We just need a little more time - and power, fuel for doc appts etc to get us there. We need about $500 for imminent bills

I’m so tired of worrying and scrambling it’s so hard to keep trying. We are very grateful for the prior donations love and support that have kept us afloat til now <3

It makes me sick to have to continue to ask for help. We are in a really bad spot. Our children really need to keep this home. Elijah is autistic. He had to be homeschooled through 4th grade, because there was inadequate support for his  special needs. We have been to many doctors and have been told it's autism, but no formal diagnosis. He's in school now. He has made such amazing strides with regard to his motor issues, and independence with the help of these wonderful folks. Katelyn has made wonderful friends and loves her school as well.
In the past two years they've lost  their dog, their
home and 90% of their
belongings, their mom (me) has had cancer, their father has serious illness and  their paternal grandmother  had a stroke and passed away a year later, their maternal grandmother had a 4th cancer scare.  To lose their school and another home would be  beyond devastating.  Especially for an autistic child who has a hard time with change, they've been through so much.
We are endlessly grateful for the $11,000 in donations that has kept us off the streets so far, but we have nothing left.

We live in a rural area to keep costs down and there is no public transit.  If we lose our car, we will not have access to prescriptions and doctors, without which the adults in the family would be unlikely to survive. All three of us have serious medical conditions and George and I are fighting disability. We have everything as cheap as we possibly can and are trying desperately to find something one of us might be able to do, though the doctor has firmly stated that neither of us can work.

We never thought we'd have to put this up and ask, for help again, but due to George being ill and unable to work for several months, disability not coming through yet, and mom continuing to have expenses on the destroyed house through July, we are once again in danger of being homeless. We are very grateful for all the earlier support, the $8,317 that kept us off the streets and got us into this house, but unfortunately we must again ask for help or we will lose it along with our car.. We are praying that disability or another program we have applied for over the past two months will come through soon, we just do not have enough with just moms income to hold onto our home and car until it does. We have applied for everything available to us, and are still a minimum of 30 days out on any help, have nothing left and mortgage and car are due among other bills. Also waiting a doc appt to see if I can get medical clearance to work at least part time, though not sure how it will work with caregiver duties, but we are once again in a desperate situation. Please share our story and help if you can. God Bless you.

My name is Heather, and we are a 3 generation family of 5 comprised of my mother Linda, the love of my life George and our children Elijah 10 and KateIyn 8.  It is very difficult for us to ask for help, as a family, we are helpers, that is our passion. On Oct 20, 2016, our city had four inches of rain. Toward the beginning of the storm, we heard a loud bang as if something hit our roof, followed by water pouring in for the rest of the night and eventually many of our  ceilings crashing down, and our home flooding. We lost everything - all of our furniture, bedding, kitchen items etc were destroyed as we fled our home for safety.  In subsequent days, we were blessed to recover some of the kids’ toys, some clothing and family photographs, but as our former home has been declared unsafe to enter, we will be unable to recover anything else.

Our insurance is refusing to cover any of the damage and we are in for a long, hard fight with them. This was my childhood home, and the policy was paid on time for over 30 years.  We have contacted several local resources and none are able to help. We need to find a new place,as soon as possible, and start over, for safety and normalcy for the children and my mother. It feels as if we are living a nightmare and can’t wake up.

Coming on the heels of a year in which our car was totalled when someone ran a light and hit it, I battled cancer, and my mother, a three time cancer survivor had to have a lumpectomy for precancerous cells, we are unable to rebound on our own this time The children are homeschooled, as we have been unable to find a safe and adequate program locally to meet Elijah’s special needs with autism. Many of their educational materials will also need to be replaced. Any help, including prayers and sharing our story and link would be much appreciated. Thank you and may God Bless you.
