Family in need, pay it forward

“Stretch”, Gene Interiano was recently diagnosed one of the most aggressive brain tumors called Glioblastoma Multiforme located in the cerebellum/brain stem (back part of his brain). He had surgery July 18th 2017 to remove the tumor. The surgeon got most of it out however, had to leave a small piece in because it was too close to his brain stem. Had they removed the tumor completely it would have left him unable to move or possibly death. He has started chemotherapy and radiation treatments every day for 6 weeks. He hasn't been to work in over 3 months now and we don't know if or when he'll be able to go back to working as a heavy equipment operator in the Port of Tacoma. As of right now the family is only getting a few hundred dollars a month to live off of, and the small savings they did have is diminishing quickly. The Interiano family has 3 kids that are starting school soon. 2 girls’ ages 12, 10, and a little 4 year old boy. They have be unable to purchase any school clothes, or school supplies this year because of the money shortage. Bills, mortgage and car payments, medical bills are starting to kick in. Also the family car is on its last life, and the worry of having no transportation to and from doctor appointments has been quite a stressor.

This family is close to my family, we have all been friends for quite some time. Our children are all the same ages, and hang out together. I had to find a way to help. I just pray that with the donations made to them, it will help with any financial burden they are experiencing, and help them get by a little more comfortably.
