Family in need of generator in PR

Donation protected
Hello, my name's Anthony Koedel. Live in Tampa, FL, Originally from Ceiba, Puerto Rico and I was in San Juan, Puerto Rico with my mom visiting my aunts and abuelos, Bruny, Milly, Rafael and Brunilda when Hurricane Maria hit.

Puerto Rico has been devastated by Hurricane Maria. An island Now with 3.5 million American Citizens (More than 22 states) on it without power on the verge of a Humanitarian Crisis.

Most of the island will be without power for atleast 6 months to a year, gas/ice is hard to come by still, and if you don't have a generator then you can't keep food cold. Luckily my aunt has a gas stove in the house so they can still have hot meals when they're able.

My two aunts, Bruny and Milly, take care of my Abuela who has Alzheimer's and in a wheelchair as well as my Abuelo who is a diabetic one armed military veteran. Sense my aunt's both work to make ends meet they have a sitter that stays with my Abuela and Abuelo while theyre at work all day.

With that being said, my family needs a generator and I'm doing what I can to make that happen and I need help from my friends and family. I don't really believe in these things but I feel like it's all i got right now. I will be donating $100 of my own money to start it off. My aunt said a basic generator is like $400 so I'm setting the goal for $600. My Abuelo also has a house in Isabela which is across the street from my moms God Parents. If I'm able to i would like to raise enough to have one for them as well. My abuelo likes to go over to his own house from time to time so itd be nice for him to have power while he is there and while he's not there my mom's God parents across the street can use it. My Abuelo has a bank account here in Tampa where my mom and I live and my aunt, Bruny, has access to it as well so that's how we will be getting the money to my family. I'm still working on getting a set price for the generator from my mom and aunt down there right now (I will update immediately) and the rest of the money will be going straight to gas/food/ice. If you've ever donated to a Natural Disaster Relief Fund and didn't know where it was going or wish you knew who it helped then this is your chance. Every penny is going to help my family in Puerto Rico.

This is all so crazy and cant believe it has happened. Being without power at night is miserable. Literally miserable. I thank and appreciate EVERYONE that donates to this cause. Means more than you know. If this is able to be done, pictures will follow! You need to see what you guys have done! #PRSTRONG

Edit: Those basic generators my aunt said cost $350-400 are now going for $800. I have raised the goal to $2000 (I really want one for my family (Abuelo/Godparents) on other side of island as well if I can) and will be putting another $200 of my own money towards this goal. Again, I appreciate all of you.
