Family in Desperate Situation

When I was a little girl, I had the good fortune of meeting one of my best friends in life by chance. Little did I know, that meeting would set us on a course of whacky adventures, laughing, crying, and singing late into many nights. There were arguments, words of encouragment, and mutual happiness as well as suffering for one another.
We both had children at the same time, and our children grew up together to become the best of friends. Despite so many shared experiences and life trajectories, misfortune has struck my friend and her family very harshly.
My friend's husband was diagnosed with cancer in September of 2014. Now, by the grace of God, he is in remission. Although my friend and her husband both work, his past illness destabilized the family finances for a period of time. To compound this, the youngest daughter of my friend recently gave birth to a child. She is only 18 years old and still needs the support of her family to take care of her daughter. She is working as well and has plans to go back to school.
Now at this time of financial instability, the cars of both my friend and her husband are out of commision; and this is why I'm asking for donations.
My friend's husband's job is in contracting, and he must travel 70 miles there, and 70 miles back. My friend is a certified CNA who currently works as an employment coach for persons with disabilities. The use of a car is vital to her job because her work requires her to transport these individuals to and from job interviews.
I avoid including the names of my friend and her husband for reasons I hope you can undertsand... reasons I don't wish to explicitly state.
My friend, her husband, and all four of her children are beautiful, God fearing people. They have both worked hard their entire lives, and they both strove to instill that within their children. They have aided their friends, family, and community for as long as I've known them, and it breaks my heart to see them in such a desperate situation.
To be able to hit the intended target would make me beyond happy. It would truely mend a broken heart while being a sign that good lives lived do indeed get taken care of.
I can't put an exact desired date on when I want to hit my target. All I can say is as soon as possible.
Please help me raise enough so that my friend and her husband can buy two cars that will allow them to provide for their family. But more so, to show them that the world can be kind to those who were always kind to others.
