Family home has burnt down

On Wednesday 29th December 2021 my families home went up in flames, resulting in devastation and loss of belongings. It also left my sister with severe burns to her face, hands and feet, along with hair loss. 

Living in the home were my mum, 2 babies (2&3), and 2 teenagers (boy 15, girl 18). My 3rd teenage sister (19) was at the house that day too. They are now all currently residing in a hotel until new accommodation can be found or repairs to their home are made. 

 

My sister, who was severely injured, is currently using a wheelchair to get by as she is unable to walk from the pain and has been told that if her burns get any worse then she will need skin grafting. She currently attends weekly appointments to help her manage her injuries and change dressings. 

She very bravely, despite being next to the explosion, went through the fire and up the stairs to help our mum save our two baby siblings. She had to also climb over her wall debris (which was on fire) as it had collapsed in the explosion. She then, even more bravely, retrieved my mums keys which were in the fire. Because of her quick thinking and bravery, the babies were checked over at hospital and were cleared. She is an inspiration to us all. 

Any donations will help my family massively whilst they buy new essentials, having lost theirs, and build their lives back up from now owning nothing.
