Family displaced by wildfires

They say it takes a village. As many of you know, we took in our grandma, aunt and brother from Oregon this last week due to wildfire evacuations. While we are more than happy to do so, we quickly used up our resources to get them up here and purchase food and supplies. As a precaution my family will be staying with us until next weekend at the earliest. Damaris and I are staying with her folks so they can have enough room in our little apartment. And I will be taking off from my second job in the evenings, to make sure I can take care of their needs. So suffice it to say, this short time will cost much more than our little family can afford on our month to month budget. 

What we are asking for would cover quite a few needs. First and foremost, it will cover food and supplies for everyone. Obviously, leaving so quickly, without knowing how long, our family could only pack so much. We’ve burned through quite a bit making sure everyone has the things they need. Also, with only one vehicle and all the travel between the trip here (and eventually back), extra errands, and commuting from the apartment to my in-laws, we are using much more gas than we can afford. Thirdly, the funds will help Damaris and I cover some of the bills we diverted money from and the extra resources we are paying for. And last but not least, it will make sure our family will have what they need when they do go home, to replace any spoiled food and pay for anything necessary while their mail (and potentially income) is interrupted. 

If nothing else, we’d appreciate your prayers and positive energy for our family, as well as all of those affected during this time.
