Family Devestated By Drunk Driver
Donation protected
Recently a drunk driver smashed into multiple parked vehicles, one being my nieces and one my nephews. My niece is a hardworking registered nurse, who had been out of work after getting extremely ill from COVID. She is the most loving, caring person I know, always there for others doing what she can to help. During all this time we lost my father, Valerie's grandfather, and Valerie was so amazingly helpful during this difficult time and in the months following, she has been helping taking care of her grandmother as well. Valerie has tried to remain positive and be thankful that no one was injured by this drunk driver, even thinking constantly about neighborhood children that could have been hurt. My nephew also is a loving and hard-working young man, this was his first car, he purchased, all on his own. He gets up and works hard to make his car payments and pay his insurance. This is a hard-working family who gives whenever they can and now they are stuck trying to replace two totaled vehicles due to the ignorance of a drunk and careless driver that was uninsured. To add to the already stressful situation the driver's family began making threats to my niece and her family. So in addition to already trying to figure out the car situation, Aurora Police advised after they heard the threats to look into a security system or camera for the house as they have dealt with this family over many years. If anyone could give anything to help this family it would be so appreciated.
