My Brother, Sister-in-Law and their amazing boy are building a beautiful life in Rincon Puerto Rico. For the last several years they have dove into making a new life in Rincon so their son can grow and be nurtured on this wonderful island and surrounded by warm friendly people. Oh and so Jack can become world class surfer.
They made it through huricane Irma with a week without water and power. Mike and Astrea are sensible and responsible and have taken step in preparation for hurricane Maria.
Their supplies are going to run low soon, repairs on their home and store are needed and future loss of business is almost a certainty. I'm setting the goal at $7000 and after we make contact with Mike and Astrea the details of needs will be better known.
Mike and Astrea run an Airbnb out of their home and operate a restaurant serving delicious healthy meals to visitors and tourists in the Domes beach area of Rincon. Anybody who's been there have seen the kindness and hospitality of this remarkable family. I trust this fund will flow into the area helping to rebuild the damage of this once in a lifetime disaster.

Update 10/9/17: Due to the relief volume and protection from fraud. GoFundMe has asked that I make public on this story board that Jean Caron is the "Beneficiary". Most of you know him as Jonas. For those that don't know him, please let me introduce him to you. He is Jack's Grandpa, Astrea's Dad. Due to the lack of cell and internet service and the unreliability of the local banks, post office, we decided to make Jonas Beneficiary which means he and only Jonas can withdrawal the donations.
At first this seemed a bit intrusive to me but GoFundMe and other crowd funding sites have a vital need for integrity and transparency which I also know as necessary.
Thank you everyone for your help. With a donated shower "sun bag" they should be showering with warm water tonight. I wont be taking what we have in the for granted anytime soon.
