Hallo von Familie Sturm
Wir sind durch Hurricane Irma obdachlos geworden, da das Haus, in welchem wir jetzt leben, unbewohnbar ist. Irma hat das Dach abgetragen, die Wasserleitungen gekappt und einen Wasserschaden im Haus verursacht da die Rohre geplatzt sind. Zum Haus gehörte ein Steg, der jetzt auch weg ist.Da wir keinerlei Versicherung haben (es ging einfach zu schnell mit Irma) sitzen wir nun auf einem riesigen Schaden. Die Fema, eine US Organisation zum Wiederaufbau, braucht Monate zur eventuellen Hilfe. Wir leben in dem Bait Shop unserer Freunde, weil wir sonst nirgendwo hin können. Hotels und Motels sind unverschämt Teuer nach Irma und so bleibt uns nichts übrig, als hierzu weiter zu leben. Den kleinen Kids gefällt das, nur sind Anke und ich einfach durch. My name is Tibor Sturm and we, my wife Anke and the three boys Kevin, Marlo and Felix plus Lilly, our Chihuahua (1yr) are living in Fort Myers since 6 months. We moved into an RV Park one week before Irma came.
I know my family is not the only one that was destroyed by Hurricane Irma nor the only one that needs help. My family and I had to make fast decisions before the storm came. We made it to a safe place while we await for the hurricane to recede before we are able to go back and see what is left of our home. We had to face, that we lost our whole home during Irma which means we are homeless right now. Getting a save place for my family is my main focus right now. We have to rebuild the mobile home.
