<div>Hallo, ich bin Linda und habe diese Kampagne für ein kleines Mädchen namens Charlotte, die Tochter meiner guten Freunde Katharina und Julian, ins Leben gerufen. Die kleine Familie ist mittlerweile schlicht am Ende ihrer Kräfte.

<div>Charlotte war ein völlig normal entwickeltes, gesundes Kind, bis sie im Alter von etwa einem halben Jahr plötzlich und unerwartet schwer erkrankte. Für ihre Eltern brach eine Welt zusammen. Die Kleine leidet an einer der schwersten und sehr seltenen Epilepsieformen des Säuglingsalters und mittlerweile zusätzlich an stark einschränkenden Bewegungsstörungen. Bisher kann sich kein Arzt erklären, warum sie so schwer krank ist. Alles zusammen führt dazu, dass Charlotte sich seitdem nicht mehr weiterentwickelt und auf dem Stand eines wenige Monate alten Säuglings verbleibt. Es gibt jedoch eine minimale Chance, dass Charlotte doch noch ein paar Fortschritte macht und wir geben die Hoffnung nicht auf. Um dafür die besten Rahmenbedingungen zu schaffen, brauchen wir eure Unterstützung!

<div>Heute ist Charlotte 20 Monate alt. Die einfachsten Dinge, die für jeden von uns selbstverständlich scheinen, sind für Charlotte unerreichbar. Sie kann nicht sitzen, nicht krabbeln, nicht stehen oder laufen. Sie kann nicht einmal ihre Eltern umarmen, weil sie ihre Arme nicht aktiv nutzen kann. Alle Aktivitäten eines gesunden Kleinkindes bleiben Charlotte verwehrt. In besonders schlechten Phasen schafft sie es nicht einmal, ihre Eltern anzuschauen oder ihnen ein Lächeln zu schenken.

<div>Die kleine Familie hält trotz allem super zusammen und kämpft gemeinsam, um irgendwie den Alltag zu meisten. Dieser Alltag wird jedoch durch immer neue Schicksalsschläge ständig komplizierter. Charlotte hat nun seit kurzem auch Atemaussetzer, bei denen sie teilweise minutenlang nicht mehr atmet, weshalb sie mit einem Pulsoxymeter überwacht werden muss. Da es Charlotte sehr schlecht geht und zudem das Überwachungsgerät häufig Alarm gibt, kommt die Familie fast gar nicht zur Ruhe. Auch nimmt Charlotte seit einigen Wochen stetig ab und bekommt hochkalorische Nahrung, um eine Magensonde zu vermeiden.

<div>Ihre Eltern versuchen also jeden Tag mit viel Hingabe und den letzten Kräften alles für Charlotte zu tun. Durch Charlottes Erkrankung ist dies jedoch mit unvorstellbaren Herausforderungen verbunden, die die alltäglichsten Dinge betreffen.

<div>So passen Charlottes Hilfsmittel zur Fortbewegung – um überhaupt etwas unternehmen zu können, sei es nur ein Spaziergang oder ein Besuch bei Oma und Opa – überhaupt nicht ins Auto, weshalb die Familie an erster Stelle dringend ein behindertengerechtes Auto benötigt . Auch muss Charlotte schnellstmöglich in ein barrierefreies Zuhause umziehen. Zudem kostet die hochkalorische Nahrung ca. 700 € jeden Monat. Hinzu kommen in den nächsten Jahren weitere komplexe medizinische Behandlungen und weitere technische Hilfsmittel, damit Charlotte überhaupt die Chance hat, etwas am Leben teilhaben zu können.

<div>Neben den immensen alltäglichen Herausforderungen kann die Familie all diese finanziellen Zusatzbelastungen nicht ansatzweise leisten. Durch Charlottes schwere Erkrankungen bestehen große berufliche Einschränkungen für die Eltern, aufgrund derer die aktuellen monatlichen Kosten nicht gedeckt und schon gar nicht die notwendigen Investitionen gestemmt werden können. Die Familie braucht daher einfach jede Unterstützung, die wir ihr geben können. Ich bitte euch inständig um eure Hilfe.

<div>Hello, I'm Linda and I created this campaign for a little girl named Charlotte. She is the daughter of my good friends Katharina and Julian. The small family is simply at the end of its strength.

<div>Charlotte was a completely happy and healthy girl until she suddenly became seriously ill at the age of six months. The little girl was diagnosed with one of the most severe forms of epilepsy in infancy. Her parent’s world collapsed.

<div>Due to the epilepsy, Charlotte experienced major setbacks in her development and sadly has not developed any further since the onset of her illness. Right now she remains at the level of a few months old baby. So far, the doctors can’t explain why the little one became so sick.

<div>However, there is a minimal chance that Charlotte will still make some progress in future. We are not giving up hope. In order to create the best framework conditions for this, we need your support!

<div>Charlotte is 20 months old by now. Since summer, she also suffers from highly restrictive movement disorders. Things that seem natural to us, are unattainable for Charlotte. She is unable to sit, crawl, stand and walk. She can't even hug her parents because she isn’t able to consciously use her arms. Sometimes she doesn’t even recognise her parents, isn’t able to look at them or give them a smile. In short, Charlotte can‘t enjoy all the activities a healthy toddler can enjoy.

<div>Despite all of this, the small family sticks together really well and does its best to manage everything. 
</div>

</div>
<div>However, daily life is getting more and more complicated due to new strokes of fate. Recently, Charlotte started to show pauses in breathing which can last for several minutes. For this reason, she is being monitored with a pulse oximeter. 
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Since Charlotte isn’t feeling good and the monitoring device often gives off alarms, the family hardly gets any rest at all. 
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Her parents do everything for their little girl. However, Charlotte's illness brings with it unimaginable challenges that affect every area of life.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>For instance, Charlotte's medical aids do not fit in the family car. This makes it difficult for the family to take a trip or even go for a walk in the park. Even visiting Charlotte’s grandparents for a weekend is impossible at the moment. Due to this, the family urgently needs a handicap-accessible car.

<div>Charlotte also needs to move into a barrier-free home as quickly as possible. 
</div>

</div>
<div>Moreover, the little girl has also been losing weight steadily for several months and is given high-calorie food to avoid a feeding tube.This special food also costs around 700 Euros every month.

<div>Besides, there will be further complex medical treatments and technical aids in the (near) future that will be necessary to give Charlotte the chance to participate in life at least a little bit.
