Fallen Hero Scholarship Funds

Donation protected
The past two years I've dedicated a month each year and over 300+ miles to run for Fallen Law Enforcement Officers. I have raised over $4,700 dollars for organizations that provide scholarships and grants to children who lost a parent(s) in the line of duty.

Each day was dedicated to a specific state or states and the mileage ran represented the total numbers of Officers that lost their lives from those respective states. Sadly, the average of Law Enforcement Officers killed in the line of duty in 2016 went up (+17) from 2015's dedication run.

(Fallen Hero Challenge 3.0) According to preliminary data as of 1/8/2017 compiled by the Officer Down Memorial Page, (140) Law Enforcement Officers and (34) K9's died in the line of duty in 2016.

This years format will be a little different than the previous two years. I'll be running 3.1 miles each day during the month of February. Dedicating each day to a specific state or states. 5K run followed up with 10 Burpees per life lost from the specific state or states will now be the main focus and represent the (174) Officers that lost their lives 2016.

One Life Lost Is Too Many, New Challenge, Same Mission.

Your generous donations will be split up 50/50 to these honorable organizations stated below.

The Gloucester County Hero Scholarship Fund is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping with the needs of the families of emergency services responders who have lost loved ones in the line of duty.

Gloucester County Police K9 Association
The fuel for their launch came in the winter of 2009 in the form of a little boy with a terminal illness. Jesse Bright Glaser was a brave little boy from West Deptford, N.J. who was stricken with brain cancer. Jesse made mention how much he loved dogs, more specifically Police Dogs.

Through the organization, they plan to raise funds that are used to assist the families of fallen officers and fallen K-9's, assist police departments that need to replace retired K-9s. They will always honor Jesse's memory as he is the reason why we started
