City Life Haiti Mission 2013

Haiti has my heart:Keele's too. And now the entire Falkner Family feels called to GO! Will you please consider partnering with us? The City Life Haiti Mission trip in 2012 was so impactful and we are thrilled Jeff, Jackson and Klaire are feeling the desire to accompany us to our beloved Balan, Haiti.

We are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. Ephesians 2:10 NIV

This calling to go is not about us, it is all about Jesus. We have been involved in the calling, commitment, and the prayer and are heeding His call. We are personally involved and invested in a ministry (Walking in the Reign) that our City Life 2013 trip is tied to. We would love for you to research Walking in the Reign at http://walkinginthereign.com and pray for the growth of the ministry in Balan. Our family sponsors several children in the village and we long to be with them again. Walking in the Reign, City Life and The Falkner family are committed to Balan long term.

My heart overflows when I think about ALL five of us going. What an amazing opportunity it will be to serve alongside our children and continue to build the relationships in Balan that are so dear to us. However, all of us going multiplies the dollars needed. I have found myself weak in faith as I struggle to trust Him to meet the financial needs of this trip. When Keele and I went last year, I did not feel the need to reach out for funding for a number of reasons. This year our family needs to raise around $9000,00. The costs include our airfare, as well as room and board while in Haiti.

While we are not looking for handouts, many who are near and dear to us do not live close by so we are asking for your help. If there is a way for us to do jobs for you, cook meals, clean, babysit, wash cars, etc:..let us know. We would love to "˜earn' the money as a family whenever it is possible. So, here is what we are requesting.

1. FOREMOST, Will you pray for us? This in itself would be the best way you can bless our trip. Praying can start right now and you can pray that God continues to reinforce in our hearts we are supposed to be going and that we will receive the financial blessings to do so.

2. Will you pray for our entire team? Some of us will be going and staying for 2 weeks. Others will be there for a shorter period. But pray that our team is strengthened in heart, mind and spirit as the enemy does his best to instill fear and doubt into our hearts - Our God is amazing and true and I know your prayers will help immensely!
