This year, I am committed to challenging myself and contributing my time to what matters. I will be participating in the Best Buddies Challenge: Hyannis Port – a bike, run or walk event supporting Best Buddies programs for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This is the very first time I'm joining team Eaton Vance on the trail and I couldn't be more excited. Please support me and team Eaton Vance by helping me raise my goal of $1,500 for an amazing organization that positively impacts so many lives, every single day!
Why I’m Raising Money: Imagine waking up one day feeling sad and alone - finding yourself without friends or employment. For 200 million people worldwide with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), this is the daily reality of rejection and isolation people with IDD often face.
Best Buddies International is the world’s largest nonprofit organization dedicated to ending the social, physical and economic isolation of people with IDD. Their programs help people with IDD form meaningful friendships with their peers, secure successful jobs, live independently, improve public speaking, self-advocacy and communication skills, and feel valued by society.
