Teen Rally against Bullying/Suicide

One evening while browsing though Facebook, I found an article about a 12 year old girl who had committed suicide due to cyber bullying. Her name was Rebecca Ann Sedwick (see her story here).
From the time I read that article until now I have seen many heartbreaking stories similar to Rebecca's story. Children as young as 9 years old killing themselves to end the torment they endured daily at the hands of bullies. As a child who was bullied and later became a bully, I wanted to make a difference. I wanted to do something to save even one life. Through Blessed Ministries I am able to do that.
There will be a FREE youth rally and one-day community workshop on bullying and suicide prevention that will be held Saturday October 3, 2015. This event will be held at The Growing Valley Baptist Church, located at 44818 20th Street West Lancaster, CA. from 9:00 am to 5 p.m. (registration begins at 8:00 a.m. This events is for Parents, Young Adults and Children ages 5-17.
Faith Builder Prayer Ministry (a ministry of Blessed Ministries) will present this event as a faith-based initiative to bring a heightened awareness to bullying by rallying the community for a united approach to this very serious epidemic. This will be our first of many Youth Rallies across the nation.
By making a donation as small as $5 today, we will be able to reach our goal to fully fund this event at NO CHARGE to the Lancaster, community. We are hoping to serve at least 200 children, youth and young adults.
You tax-deductible donation will be used for:
Attendee Workshop materials (bags, t-shirts, souvenir journals, handouts, etc.),
Continental Breakfast/Lunch for out young attendees
Give-aways and scholarships for attendees
Conference location rental costs
Transportation and honorariums
