Faith Based Professional Dance Tour

Donation protected
My name is Rachel Roseberry and I am fundraising as a professional dancer going on tour with Reverent Rhythms professional dance company. Reverent Rhythms is a faith based nonprofit whose mission is to use excellence in performing arts education and performance to actively demonstrate the love of Christ to our community, our nation, and our world. I am so grateful to be a part of their teaching staff in the last year and felt called to fill in for another professional company dancer that needed immediate surgery. The company is showcasing the production Snow White and the Poisoned Apple. It is a retelling of the classic fairytale with a gospel twist. Through the story of Snow White, we see Satan’s temptation and God’s plan for redemption. This July we will be touring through Colorado’s front range, New Mexico, and Texas! During tour we are providing excellence in performing arts to local dance studios as guest artists, performing our production, and will be witnessing the Spirit of God moving in radical ways, interrupting the audience in order to transform their hearts as they experience the love of Christ.
I am beyond blessed to participate in this opportunity. It combines my love for Jesus, passion for dance, and my hunger to do mission work.
Dance has been a passion of mine since I was 5 years old. At a young age I dreamed of being a professional dancer and moved to New York City at age 19 to pursue my dance career. I apprenticed for a contemporary jazz company but moved back to Colorado during the recession in 2008. Since then, I have loved teaching children ballet, jazz, modern, tap, and pre-k. Sadly I stopped teaching dance in 2016 due to becoming a single mom and needing to support my two children. At that time, I found Jesus and started growing in my faith. God has blown me away with his love, peace, and provision for me and my family over the years. Now at age 35, never thinking I would have a dance career again, God has brought me to this outstanding opportunity to minister with my talents and gifts and I want to be a good steward of his blessing.
The dance company will be covering our expenses of gas, groceries, and lodging as we are on tour. Compensation for the tour is unknown until we have paid for all expenses. My fundraising money will go towards three categories-my bills and expenses at home for July and beginning of August, expenses for dance supplies to acquire for performances, and my traveling expenses.
My bills at home include rent, utilities, insurance, childcare, summer camps, cat food, and groceries for my children. The dance supplies I am looking to acquire are undergarments, make up, hair products, and workout travel equipment for warmups for the company’s performances. For my travel expenses I want to contribute to supplying my groceries on tour and I plan to meal prep due to my gluten intolerance and dairy sensitivity and to help keep me nourished and eating out less. I will also need to cover any expenses of eating out. I have also started an in-depth supplement regimen and recovery protocol. I will do all I can to keep up with physical demands since I am past the average age of professional dancers and need a bit more maintenance.
As I prepare for the upcoming tour in July, I am asking for your prayers for our company and that you would prayerfully consider donating to support my journey on this month-long tour. Lives are being transformed every day by God through Reverent Rhythms and you can be a part of it!
Thank you for your consideration.
