Fair Foods Warehouse Fund

Hello, I'm Nancy Jamison, founder of Fair Foods, Inc., a Boston-based non-profit, 501C3 organization that rescues over 10,000 pounds of fresh fruits and vegetables daily and redistributes them in low-income neighborhoods throughout the Greater Boston area.

Fair Foods has always been dedicated to providing surplus goods at low or no cost to those in need. Since 1988 we have rescued and delivered millions of pounds of fresh produce, and the price is right at less than 20 cents a pound. We have now given enough produce to fill the Prudential to the roof!

This year, we hope to move into a building, located at 259 Quincy St., in Dorchester. With this additional warehouse space, we will be able to access an additional 40,000 lbs. of produce, weekly, in having the ability to accommodate trailer loads of food. Fair Foods will then be able to expand its services to an additional 4,000 families throughout Massachusetts. At an average savings of $15 per bag, the people of Massachusetts will save, roughly, $60,000 a week.

At $12,000/mos., this space will cost Fair Foods 144,000 yearly. However, with the help of a one-year initial investment, we will be able to expand our model program to better serve the state of Massachusetts as it has proven itself to be one of self-sustainability.

Please help us to raise awareness about Fair Foods' need for a warehouse and check out our website for a site near you!
