Scott Family Memorial Building at Hart Fairgrounds

Donation protected
We are reaching out to area businesses and community members looking for help in building a memorial building at the Hart Fairgrounds.  The building will be a dedicated to the memory of 14 year old Kaitlynn and her father Eric who were tragically killed while walking their dog this spring.  Kaitlynn was a 4-H Member and showed her Mule at the Hart Fairgrounds with the rest of her 4-H club.  The loss was devastating to the family as well as the young 4-H members that had become friends with Kaitlynn over the years.  The building will allow the community and her fellow 4-H members to have a place to always remember her and the great times they had spent together.  Most importantly a place to remind them to "Always Smile"   My wife and I have pledged to cover the project cost in full if needed but would welcome the community to invest in this project along with us.    Kaitlynn had touched many lives and I would be honored to share in this project with anyone she brought light to.  Any money that is received beyond the scope of the project will be donated to the Scott family to help with college expenses for their son.

The building will be constructed in the infield of the horse racing track, on the north side of the existing horse arena.  We have a material estimate from Standard Lumber of Montague and they were kind enough to give us employee pricing.  The Estimate on materials is just over $7000.  I have a couple of individuals lined up to help with construction so we just need to cover materials.  The building will feature a beacon on the roof that shines a beam of light high into the night sky that will be able to be seen for miles.   A light that will shine high enough that Kaitlynn and Eric will know we are thinking of them.

We would be placing a permanent sign board on the building highlighting any area business or individuals who would like to help make this happen.

Permits are pulled and now that fair is over, we are ready to begin.  Please see the attached blueprint of the proposed building.  The building will be made to handle show registration, concession, and show announcing for all of the 4-H Horse shows and will be dedicated to Kaitlynn and Eric.

We already have a few businesses that have donated time and money and we thank everyone for anything they can do.
