Last fall Jon was diagnosed with Stage 1 Testicular Cancer. The process happened so quickly that it went from diagnosis to removal of the tumor within 4 days. We were all in a state of shock but were hoping that he would then be cancer free. Unfortunately, his most recent PET scan showed enlargement of lymph nodes in his abdomen and was confirmed that the cancer had spread.
After several appointments and being diagnosed with Stage 2, he will be undergoing Chemotherapy beginning on Monday, 9/10. This has been very surreal. I know that many of us have been affected by this ugly disease in some way and can also attest to the role it will play in Jon’s life. His Chemo treatment plan will last a minimum of 12 weeks. No one can predict exactly how this process will affect him but Jon is strong, courageous, brave and determined so there is no doubt that he will fight with all he has!

And none of us were surprised that he took on another challenge of that size. Some of us have our own businesses, or know someone who does and there is no shortage of uncertainty - especially at the beginning. Not only does Jon need to focus entirely on his recovery, he needs to have limited distractions. This treatment plan will prove to be difficult in continuing to run his new business successfully as well as provide income. Let’s pull together for the guy who is always there to listen, always excited to see us and always, ALWAYS laughs at our jokes even if they’re bad. It doesn’t matter if it’s $5, $50 or $5000 – every bit helps. Any amount of contribution will be greatly appreciated so he can focus on his fight! Let’s all support Jon and battle this together!
