Brendan McQuade Scholarship

In August of 2010 Brendan McQuade unfortunately passed away way too young at the age of 13. Brendan was a loving friend, brother, and son who enjoyed school and animals. He is most remembered for his contagious smile. His smile could brighten up anyone’s day. He could make you laugh at things that didn’t even seem funny. In fact he always took the time to make sure everyone around him was happy and if they weren’t, he helped them. He touched so many lives in his short time here, it is truly amazing. Brendan was also the best friend a person could ask for. He gave unconditional love and support to all those close to him and honestly anyone he met. Brendan is missed by many but his memory lives on.

This year would have been Brendan's senior year at Cheshire High School and to make sure his memory is not forgotten a scholarship is being set up in his memory to be given out to a graduating senior. This scholarship is being funded entirely by student organized fundraising so any donations can and will help. Now $5000 is just a somewhat crazy goal and we are teenagers so we dream big, but really any amount raised will help this cause. The more funds that are raised will help ensure that the scholarship continues on for years to come. The absolute dream would be to raise $5000 to ensure that a $500 scholarship can be given out each year for the next ten years.  All donations are greatly appreciated not only by the high school students organizing this, but by Brendan’s community and family.
