After enduring a battery of tests – four MRIs, a lumbar puncture, and countless blood tests – the doctors at the Toronto Hospital delivered the gut-wrenching news: I have MS. Multiple Sclerosis. It’s a relentless disease that mercilessly attacks the lining of your spine and brain, leading to a gradual breakdown of nerves and cognitive function over time. The scariest part? There’s no cure. The thought of losing my independence is paralyzing.
